Money Is Not Everything

Money Is Not Everything

I bet we all heard that before. Money surely isnt everything. Though to live a comfortable life some bit of it would help.

Today’s Live and Insprire session, which i have attented at least 3 times, has inspired me the most. Even teary at times (yes, i almost cried) To think that some people would truly give up their day jobs and to put so much effort and even money for the bettermen of others. To give someone else hope, especially when they need it the most.

This company named The Truly Loving Company, shortened as TLC, is founded with the sole purpose to give all profits earned to charity organizations. YES you read it right. ALL Profits! It was founded recently in the last few years, and the initial captital was from the savings of the founder, Julia Chong. What’s so charitable about TLC, you ask? Well they produce household and personal products, such as shower cream, moisturizer, hand wash, floor cleaner, toilet cleaner, to name a few, and all dividents from this goes to charity. The Charity Organization they work with for now is Rumah Aman (a shelter for orphan kids), Shelter home for Children, Hospis Malaysia (for people living with terminal decease), NASAM (for stroke survivors) and The Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Association Johor Bahru. I dont want to bore you with anymore details, but it would do me a great favour if anyone reading this would go to www.thetrulylovingcompany.com to find out more and probably get the full/correct picture. I am in no way working with or for them, but truly belief in their mission.

It just amazes me that people like this exist out there. They might not be millionaires but yet they are not hungry to make all that money, Back bite, back stab just to get ahead. Its been probably from the dawn of time to have more and with that, we want more. And in today’s society, to do that it means you have to earn more. Money does makes the world goes round, perhaps to some extend that statement is true. Its just the way we evolved as humans, to put a value on goods and service, we invented money. But is money everything? I dont know how many of you out there would actually say no. (if there is any readers even reading this) To me money isnt everything. For sure you can do alot with it, but it cant buy you love (true love), freinds (real friends) family (what other family is there), respect and obviously happiness. To take what little you have and share it others can be more gratifying then earning the big load and having no one to share it with. To make a different in another persons life just by doing a good deed or even a little donation is always in many ways more rewarding.

So if you read this and is wondering what can you do, maybe the next the time you think of purchasing certain household or personal items look out for the TLC brand. You are still buying your necessities but you are donating to a charitable cause. For those of you wanting to do even more, Perhaps you could visit www.tlcpromiseme.com to pledge to help someone fulfill their simple dreams. As simple as helping a kid ride a bicycle, teach someone to dance, to basically help fulfill some dreams of the mis-fortunate. Like what i heard in the TLC site, for those in need, tomorrow is a long way, jump on the band wagon today!
